Global Leaderboard

Hey folks, it's been a while. Since I started a new job recently, I didn't have much time to add more features and fix bugs and so on. But now that I kind of settled in, I've finally found time again. So this devlog will be a little bit shorter, but has a huge impact feature-wise (at least for me).

The feature I'm talking about is one that I think will be the one that will give the game most of the "just one more try" or "I want to beat at least xyz" character. Of course I'm talking a global leaderboard. A leaderboard automatically leads to competition between players, since many "competitive" players want to stand on top and prove what they are capable of. On the other hand, a leaderboard can be a fragile system when cheating and hacking is not prevented. This is something I want to look into for the release, but for the demo, it is not relevant.

What do you think about this? Is a leaderboard reason enough for you to play "just one more round"? You can try for yourself. The new state of the demo available contains the leaderboard!
